Estate
Located on U.S. 25 three blocks north of Exit 50 on
I-40.
The 8,000 acre estate features America's largest residence,
gardens, and a winery. Hours: 9 a.m - 6 p.m. Open year
round except Christmas,
Thanksgiving, and New Years Day.

Rock Park

Enjoy a 75 mile view of the Blue Ridge and walk the

The Carl Sandburg Home
3 miles south of Hendersonville in Flat Rock.
A beautiful 263 acre estate where the poet raised prize
winning goats.

Art Center
Located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, just east of Asheville
Home to the Southern Highland Craft Guild, includes
museum galleries,

Wolfe Memorial
Located in downtown Asheville, 52 N. Market Street.
The boyhood home of the author Thomas Wolfe (Look
Homeward, Angel) is currently closed for tours (for
repairs) but the Visitor Center is open.

Zebulon
Vance Birthplace
Located at 911 Reems Creek Road near Weaverville.
Vance Birthplace is the reconstructed 1830s mountain
farmstead where Zebulon Vance, NC's Civil War governor
was born.
